Well ladies (and maybe even gentlemen) today I am finally ready to talk about a makeup secret I have been keeping for a long time. OK that might be a tad bit dramatic. This product got so much hype on the internet world that I wasn’t sure if is really that good, but I’m here to tell you people that it truly is! I have been testing it out for months now and I’ve applied it many ways but I have finally mastered the perfect technique.
A little bit about the product
The Secret Brightening Powder by Laura Mercier is a weightless transparent powder that is used to set under eye concealer. The transparent white colour brightens the skin instantly, and because the powder is so finely milled it will not settle in fine lines or accentuate shadows. The Secret Brightening Powder is suitable for all skin types and it naturally perfects the skin while staying put all day.
How I apply it
Step 1
Once I have applied all my makeup I leave the Secret Brightening Powder last. I take a damp Beauty Blender (if you don’t have one then I don’t know what you are doing with your life) and dip the tip into the powder. I don’t even blow off the excess, I right away pack it under my eyes.
Step 2
Once I have packed a good amount under my eyes I leave it on for a good 2-5 min to bake. Baking is a technique that refers to letting translucent powder sit on your face for while, which allows the heat from your face to set your base foundation and concealer (Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist uses it on her so you know it’s legit.)
Step 3
After 5 min I take my Beauty Blender and blend the powder into my skin. Giving me that intense brightness under my eyes. After blending I continue with the rest of my make up (bronzer, blush and highlighter)
