Now that we are in full fall mode it’s time to look at your closet and see what coats you need to add to your existing collection. Every year I buy a new coat (or two) and I look to see what’s missing in my wardrobe. Last year I invested in a good leather jacket but this year I have my eye on sherpa coat or maybe even a cape! I’ve chosen a few styles that will suit any body shape and will definitely upgrade your wardrobe to a new level. Happy shopping everybody !
Leather Jacket
A leather jacket is a must in my opinion in all seasons, but this one with a fur trim makes it more fall appropriate. Paired with jeans, skirts and dresses this is a staple item in my collection.
I mean if you live in Canada you have to own some kinda of plaid, so why not a coat. This is for sure a statement piece for those days when your outfit lacks interest.
Puffy Jacket
Considering that it’s going to get chilly very quickly the puffer coat is essential. You have to have a coat that is utilitarian and also can keep you warm, while still looking put together. Best part, this coat can be easily transitioned to winter as well.
Cocoon coat
This new silhouette is everywhere. If you are into the loose “boyfriend” fit then this coat is for you. Paired with more fitted outfits this coat is fashion forward and edgy. When is cold and dreary, pop of colour is just what you need.
I love me a good motto jacket. It makes me feel tough (ya right at 5′ tall I can never pull that off !). is right on trend with its ombré black and white feature. Paired with some motorcycle boots you are ready to join a cool fashion gang!
Capes are a huge fashion trend this season and you can pretty much buy one in every colour and various materials. is really special with the green plaid that will for sure make the heads turn.
Sherpa Jacket
I buy some version of a sherpa jacket every year. And this year I have my eye one this one by BLANKNYC. The soft sherpa fleece combined with motorcycle style is right up my alley. After all, I have to keep up with that tough image!
I hope this helps you with your next fall coat purchase and please let me know know which one is your favourite down below !
